“The time is fulfilled, and the kingdom of God is at hand; repent and believe in the gospel.” – Mark 1:15

These were the first recorded words of Jesus in Mark’s Gospel. Not a suggestion. Not a teaching. A command. The first step in following Jesus isn’t climbing a ladder of good works—it’s a complete change of heart. Repent. Turn around. Stop going your own way and turn toward the truth. Then believe—trust fully in the good news that Jesus is enough.

Repent (Greek: metanoeō, μετανοέω) – to change one’s mind, to turn back, to experience deep remorse and direction shift.
