The Discipline of Bearing Burdens
Bearing burdens is love with sleeves rolled up. It is entering anotherโs pain and helping lift what they cannot carry alone. To bear a burden is to share a heart.
Christ carried our ultimate burden at the cross. Now He invites us to carry one anotherโs loads โ not to be saviors, but servants of the Savior. The church becomes the church when we refuse to let anyone suffer alone.
Burdens may be emotional, spiritual, financial, or practical. Sometimes all we can offer is prayer and presence โ and often, that is enough. When we help others stand, God strengthens our own feet.
In burden-lifting, community deepens. The family of God becomes a living testimony that grace flows not only from heaven to us, but through us to others.
To bear a burden is to carry Christโs love into someoneโs storm. When we lift others, we feel His strength lifting us.
