๐Ÿ’Ž Daily Diamonds โ€“ Spiritual Disciplines: The Discipline of Peace

Key Verse:
โ€œAnd let the peace of Christ rule in your hearts, to which indeed you were called in one body.โ€ โ€“ Colossians 3:15 (ESV)

The Discipline of Peace

Peace is not the absence of conflictโ€”it is the presence of Christ. The discipline of peace trains the heart to rest in Godโ€™s sovereignty rather than react to lifeโ€™s uncertainty. It is a settled confidence that the Lord reigns and we belong to Him.

Jesus said, โ€œMy peace I give to you; not as the world gives do I give to youโ€ (John 14:27). His peace cannot be shaken by circumstance or stolen by fear. It guards the mind like a soldier standing watch over the soul.

Peace must be chosen daily. We let it โ€œruleโ€ by yielding our anxieties to Christ in prayer. Worry dethrones peace; worship restores it. The more we trust, the less we tremble.

Peace also becomes our witness. When others see calm hearts in chaotic times, they see Christโ€™s character reflected in us. A peaceful spirit preaches louder than words.

๐Ÿ’ก Insight:
Peace is not found by escaping storms but by embracing the Savior within them. When Christ rules the heart, calm rules the day.
