The Discipline of Practicing God’s Presence
Practicing God’s presence means living every moment with the awareness that God is with you, near you, and working through you. It is the continual turning of the heart toward God—through routine, responsibility, and even difficulty.
Jesus invites us to abide, not visit; to dwell, not drift. Abiding means staying connected to the Vine so that His life flows into ours. Practicing God’s presence transforms ordinary tasks into sacred offerings and quiet moments into holy encounters.
This discipline teaches us to whisper prayers throughout the day, to pause and breathe in His peace, to acknowledge His nearness in anxiety, and to welcome His guidance in decisions.
The believer who practices God’s presence walks with constant assurance: “You are with me.” And where His presence dwells, peace follows.
You are never far from God—the discipline is remembering what is already true.
