The Discipline of Submission in Relationships
Submission in relationships is not about inequality β it is about honor, humility, and mutual surrender to Christ. The world sees submission as weakness; Scripture reveals it as the love language of heaven. We submit not because others are worthy, but because Christ is.
Paul calls husbands, wives, friends, servants, and leaders to practice submission (Ephesians 5β6). This mutual yielding destroys pride and cultivates unity. The strong learn gentleness; the gentle learn strength.
Submission does not erase identity β it elevates Christ above self. It is a posture of trust, a willingness to listen, and a readiness to serve. Wherever the Spirit rules, self bows, and love reigns.
Submission in relationships is not about losing β it’s about loving. When we yield to Christ, we find peace with one another.
