“Oh come, let us worship and bow down; let us kneel before the Lord, our Maker!”
Psalm 95:6 (ESV)
When life feels uncertain and your sense of identity begins to blur, there is a name of God that gently calls you back to center: Jehovah Hoseenu — The Lord Our Maker.
This name is both humbling and deeply comforting. It reminds us that we are not accidents. We were formed, fashioned, and purposed by a personal God. And because He made us, He knows how to sustain us, correct us, and fulfill us.
📜 Word Study
Hoseenu (עֹשֵׂנוּ) comes from the Hebrew verb asah, meaning “to make, fashion, accomplish, or produce.” When paired with the covenant name Jehovah, it emphasizes that God is not only Creator in a cosmic sense, but our Maker in a personal one.
Psalm 100:3 (ESV) declares:
“It is he who made us, and we are his.”
He not only designed us — He claims us.
💎 A Diamond of Truth
You were handcrafted by the God of heaven.
You are not random.
You are not forgotten.
You are not without purpose.
Jehovah Hoseenu made you intentionally and lovingly. And when you feel broken, inadequate, or unfinished, remember this: the One who made you is also the One who can mend you.
Isaiah 64:8 (ESV):
“But now, O Lord, you are our Father; we are the clay, and you are our potter; we are all the work of your hand.”
He is still shaping you.
