Key Verse:

The Discipline of Spiritual Discernment

Spiritual discernment is the Spirit-enabled ability to see truth clearly in a world clouded with confusion. It helps the believer distinguish not only right from wrong, but wise from unwise, good from better, and better from best. Discernment grows from a heart rooted in Scripture and surrendered to the Holy Spirit.

The discerning believer evaluates ideas, influences, and impulses through the lens of God’s Word. They are not swayed by emotion, popularity, or pressure. Instead, they listen for the Shepherd’s voice, reject the subtle lies of the enemy, and choose the path that pleases Christ.

This discipline requires humility — a willingness to be corrected, to seek counsel, and to slow down long enough to pray before acting. Discernment grows by practice. The more we walk with God, the clearer our spiritual eyesight becomes.

💡 Insight:
Discernment is seeing life through God’s eyes and choosing what honors Christ above what merely feels right.
