✨ Introduction:
The end of the world has fascinated and terrified people for centuries.
Movies, books, conspiracy theories — all speculate about what might happen.
But the Bible doesn’t leave us in the dark. It tells us exactly what to expect:
The end will come — not by accident, but by the sovereign plan of a holy and merciful God.
Matthew 24:35
“Heaven and earth will pass away, but my words will not pass away.”
✅ Truth:
The world as we know it is temporary, but God’s promises are eternal.
1. The End Will Come Suddenly and Unmistakably
The Bible teaches that the end will arrive when most people least expect it.
It will not be gradually realized or quietly unfold — it will be sudden, swift, and unmistakable.
Matthew 24:36-39
“But concerning that day and hour no one knows, not even the angels of heaven, nor the Son, but the Father only… they were unaware until the flood came and swept them all away, so will be the coming of the Son of Man.”
✅ Truth:
Because we do not know the hour, Jesus calls us to live every day ready — in faith, in hope, and in obedience.
Life Application:
Don’t wait until “someday” to get serious about your soul. Today is the day to live alert, awake, and anchored in Christ.
2. Jesus Will Return in Power and Glory
The centerpiece of the end of the world is not disaster — it is a Person: Jesus Christ.
Revelation 19:11-13
“Then I saw heaven opened, and behold, a white horse! The one sitting on it is called Faithful and True… and the armies of heaven, arrayed in fine linen, white and pure, were following him on white horses.”
✅ Truth:
The end of the world is not chaos — it is the triumphant return of the King.
Life Application:
Do not fear the end of the world if you know the King who is coming. His return will be the beginning of endless joy for His people.
3. There Will Be a Final Judgment
The Bible leaves no doubt: there will be a day when every person will stand before God.
No one will slip through unnoticed. No injustice will be forgotten.
2 Corinthians 5:10
“For we must all appear before the judgment seat of Christ, so that each one may receive what is due for what he has done in the body, whether good or evil.”Revelation 20:12
“And I saw the dead, great and small, standing before the throne, and books were opened.”
✅ Truth:
God’s judgment will be perfectly fair and perfectly holy.
Life Application:
If you have trusted Christ, you face judgment not with fear, but with the confidence that His blood has already paid your debt.
4. The Current World Will Be Destroyed and Renewed
Unlike human fears of annihilation, the Bible promises transformation.
This world will not simply be destroyed — it will be purified and made new.
2 Peter 3:10-13
“But the day of the Lord will come like a thief, and then the heavens will pass away with a roar… But according to his promise we are waiting for new heavens and a new earth in which righteousness dwells.”Revelation 21:1
“Then I saw a new heaven and a new earth, for the first heaven and the first earth had passed away.”
✅ Truth:
God is not abandoning His creation. He is redeeming it.
Life Application:
Don’t cling too tightly to this broken world. A far better one is coming for those who belong to Christ.
5. Believers Will Live Forever with God
For Christians, the end of this world means the beginning of the world we were truly made for.
John 14:2-3
“In my Father’s house are many rooms… I go to prepare a place for you… I will come again and will take you to myself, that where I am you may be also.”Revelation 21:3-4
“Behold, the dwelling place of God is with man. He will dwell with them, and they will be his people… He will wipe away every tear from their eyes.”
✅ Truth:
Heaven is not a fantasy. It is our promised home, built by the hands of a Savior who cannot lie.
Life Application:
Set your heart on things above, where Christ is — and live with the confidence that the best is yet to come.
6. Unbelievers Face Eternal Separation
The Bible is also clear:
Those who reject Christ now will face eternal separation from Him.
2 Thessalonians 1:8-9
“In flaming fire, inflicting vengeance on those who do not know God and on those who do not obey the gospel of our Lord Jesus. They will suffer the punishment of eternal destruction, away from the presence of the Lord.”
✅ Truth:
Mercy is offered now — but judgment will come later for those who refuse it.
Life Application:
Today is the day of salvation. Turn to Christ now, while the door of mercy is wide open.
7. We Must Be Ready and Watchful
Because the timing is unknown and the stakes are eternal, Jesus commands His followers to stay spiritually awake.
Matthew 24:42-44
“Therefore, stay awake, for you do not know on what day your Lord is coming… you also must be ready, for the Son of Man is coming at an hour you do not expect.”
✅ Truth:
The Christian life is not a casual stroll — it is a vigilant walk, looking for the return of our King.
Life Application:
Examine your heart. Are you living as someone who truly expects to see Jesus face-to-face at any moment?

The Bible teaches that:
- Jesus Christ will return suddenly, gloriously, and victoriously.
- The world will be judged, purified, and gloriously renewed.
- Believers will live forever with God in joy and perfection.
- Those who reject Christ will be separated from Him eternally.
The end of the world is not the end of hope. It is the dawn of eternity.
The real question is not “Will the end come?”
It is “Are you ready?”
