Let God Finish the Sentence – Series Conclusion
Final post in the series: Biblical Pronouns – Who Does God Say That I Am?
“For we are his workmanship, created in Christ Jesus for good works, which God prepared beforehand, that we should walk in them.”
– Ephesians 2:10 (ESV)
Don’t Let the World Define You
The world is loud about identity. It hands out labels like stickers—temporary, flimsy, and often false. But God doesn’t scribble on your life with chalk. He carves truth with eternal purpose. What He says about you is not just descriptive—it’s definitive.
Throughout this series, we’ve heard God speak over:
- Men: “He shall be like a tree” – rooted, fruitful, strong in the Word
- Women: “She shall be praised” – virtuous, wise, honored by God
- Children: “A child is known” – pure, purposed, precious to the Lord
- Seniors: “They shall still bear fruit” – flourishing with age, not fading
Each of these isn’t just a statement about who we are—they are declarations of who God is through us.
Let God Speak the Final Word
You are not your past. You are not your feelings. You are not your mistakes. You are who God says you are. And His Word doesn’t end in confusion—it ends in clarity, victory, and love.
Before the foundation of the world, God knew you. He formed you. He called you. And He designed you with a purpose that no one else can fulfill.
Let Him finish the sentence.
- “You are…” forgiven (Colossians 2:13–14)
- “You are…” a child of God (John 1:12)
- “You are…” a new creation (2 Corinthians 5:17)
- “You are…” a royal priesthood (1 Peter 2:9)
- “You are…” sealed by the Spirit (Ephesians 1:13–14)
These aren’t suggestions. These are God’s sentences—written in blood and sealed with resurrection.
Where Do We Go From Here?
Embrace your God-given identity. Pass it on. Raise children in it. Encourage men and women with it. Honor the seniors who walk faithfully in it. In a confused culture, be a clear voice. In a noisy world, speak the words God has already written.
Life Application Questions:
- Are you living in the identity God has given you—or one the world gave you?
- Which truth from this series do you need to cling to more firmly?
- How can you help someone else discover who God says they are?
We invite you to revisit each post in the series below:
- He Shall Be Like a Tree – God’s Identity for Men
- She Shall Be Praised – God’s Identity for Women
- A Child Is Known – God’s View of Children
- They Shall Still Bear Fruit – God’s Purpose for Seniors
Final Thought:
Let God define you. Let His pronouns speak. And let the sentence He began with your life be finished in His grace, for His glory.
