Hebrews 12:28 (ESV) – “Therefore let us be grateful for receiving a kingdom that cannot be shaken, and thus let us offer to God acceptable worship, with reverence and awe.”
In a world of earthquakes—literal and figurative—everything that seems stable eventually trembles. Governments fall. Wealth fades. Health declines. Plans unravel. But Heaven is a city that cannot be shaken.
When we arrive there, we will step into a realm where nothing crumbles, collapses, or corrupts. The foundations of that city are eternal—laid not by man but by God. Abraham longed for it, John saw it, and Jesus purchased our entrance into it with His own blood.
In Heaven, the ground doesn’t give way beneath your feet. The throne of God is unmovable, His reign unending. The gates will never close. The light will never dim. The security is not in walls, but in the presence of the Almighty.
Everything you’ve ever trusted here—money, status, strength, possessions—was always vulnerable. But Heaven is made of better stuff. It doesn’t need to be insured or defended. There are no locks in Heaven. No alarms. No hiding.
And best of all: your place in that city is secure. Not because you earned it, but because Jesus has reserved it for you. If you’re in Him, your future is unshakable.
Hebrews 11:10 – “For he was looking forward to the city that has foundations, whose designer and builder is God.”
Psalm 46:5 – “God is in the midst of her; she shall not be moved.”
Revelation 21:2 – “And I saw the holy city, new Jerusalem, coming down out of heaven from God…”
Life Application: Feeling unstable? Look up. You are heading for a city where no storms shake the walls, no enemy breaches the gates, and no sorrow enters the streets. Fix your eyes on what cannot be moved—and let your soul be still.
