Daily Diamonds – Heaven: A Place of Unending Light

Revelation 21:23–25 (ESV) – “And the city has no need of sun or moon to shine on it, for the glory of God gives it light, and its lamp is the Lamb… and there will be no night there.”

From the very beginning of creation, light has always been a sign of God’s presence, power, and purpose. “Let there be light,” He said in Genesis—and light flooded the darkness. But even the sun and moon, magnificent as they are, were only temporary lights meant to govern a broken world. In Heaven, the source of light will be the Lamb Himself.

There will be no need for sunrises or lamps. No shadows creeping across the floor. No fear of the dark. No night. Because God will be there. And wherever God is—there is light that never fades.

This isn’t just physical light. It’s spiritual. Emotional. Eternal. Nothing is hidden. Nothing is uncertain. Nothing is unsafe. Heaven is the place where everything becomes clear, because everything is seen in the light of Christ.

The things that confuse us now, the seasons of darkness we’ve walked through—will all be illuminated in the presence of the One who sees the end from the beginning. We won’t just live in light—we will walk in it. We will be bathed in it. And the warmth of that light will never fade, because Jesus never leaves.

In Heaven, there are no more light switches. No more fear of the night. The glory of God is always on.

John 8:12 – “I am the light of the world. Whoever follows me will not walk in darkness, but will have the light of life.”

Isaiah 60:19–20 – “The sun shall be no more your light by day… the LORD will be your everlasting light, and your days of mourning shall be ended.”

1 John 1:5 – “God is light, and in him is no darkness at all.”

Life Application: Are you walking through a dark season? Let your heart hold to this: there’s a day coming when the light will never dim again. Let the Lamb light your steps even now—and rest in the promise that in Heaven, there will be no night there.
