Revelation 21:25 (ESV) – “…and its gates will never be shut by day—and there will be no night there.”
In ancient cities, gates were closed at night to keep danger out. But in Heaven, the gates stay open—forever.
Why? Because there is no danger. No night. No fear. The city is perfectly secure in the presence of God. Nothing unclean will enter. Nothing harmful approaches. Only light, life, and joy flow in and out.
Open gates also speak of welcome. There is no rejection here. No “keep out” sign for those written in the Lamb’s Book of Life. The invitation stands. The gates never close.
Isaiah 60:11 – “Your gates shall be open continually; day and night they shall not be shut…”
John 10:9 – “I am the door. If anyone enters by me, he will be saved…”
Life Application:
If Heaven’s gates are always open, why do we live like we’re locked out? You are welcomed—not just someday, but even now by grace. Live with peace in your soul and assurance in your steps. The gates of your forever home will never close to you.
