Daily Diamonds – Heaven: The Face of the Lion and the Lamb

Revelation 5:5–6 (ESV) – “Weep no more; behold, the Lion of the tribe of Judah, the Root of David, has conquered… And between the throne… I saw a Lamb standing, as though it had been slain.”

In Heaven, we will see Jesus—not just as we imagined Him, but as He truly is: the Lion and the Lamb
And in that seeing, something incredible happens—we are changed. “We shall be like Him, for we shall see Him as He is.”

John heard the roar of a Lion, but saw the wounds of a Lamb. These are not contradictions—they are the two natures of Christ, perfectly united. Power and gentleness. Judgment and mercy. Victory and sacrifice. This is the face of Heaven’s King—and the pattern of Heaven’s people.

To be made like Him means more than glory on our faces—it means character in our souls. In Heaven, we will wear strength without pride, and meekness without fear. We will carry boldness without harshness, and holiness without shame. **All of Christ’s glory, reflected in us—His redeemed.**

The Lion reminds us that righteousness rules. The Lamb reminds us that love reigns. And in Heaven, we will reflect both—not by effort, but by His grace. This is what we are becoming: gentle warriors, crowned servants, radiant saints made like our Savior.

The face we will see is the face we are being shaped into.

1 John 3:2 – “…when he appears we shall be like him, because we shall see him as he is.”

Isaiah 53:5 – “But he was pierced for our transgressions… and with his wounds we are healed.”

Revelation 1:12–16 – “…His eyes were like a flame of fire… his face was like the sun shining in full strength.”

Romans 8:29 – “…to be conformed to the image of his Son…”

Life Application:
Are you weary of the gap between who you are and who you long to be? Take heart—your transformation is not dependent on your strength, but on your vision. Fix your eyes on the face of Jesus. The more you behold Him, the more you become like Him—and one day soon, you will reflect Him fully.
