Daily Diamonds – Heaven: The Lamb Is All the Glory

Revelation 21:23 (ESV) – “And the city has no need of sun or moon to shine on it, for the glory of God gives it light, and its lamp is the Lamb.”

We’ve seen gates of pearl, streets of gold, trees of life, crowns, robes, and songs. But strip it all away and ask this: what makes Heaven, Heaven?

Answer: The Lamb. Jesus is not just in Heaven—He is the glory of it. The light doesn’t just shine around Him—it shines from Him. Every radiant thing in that city is simply a reflection of Him.

He is the lamp that lights eternity. He is the joy that fills the throne room. He is the voice that silences tears. He is the reason sinners become saints and pilgrims finally find home.

The Lamb is not a detail in Heaven—He is its definition. Without Him, there is no glory. But with Him, everything glows.

And when we see Him—face to face—we will finally understand why Heaven is so beautiful. Because Jesus is there.

Isaiah 60:19 – “The Lord will be your everlasting light, and your God will be your glory.”

Hebrews 1:3 – “He is the radiance of the glory of God…”

Revelation 5:13 – “To him who sits on the throne and to the Lamb be blessing and honor and glory…”

Life Application:
Let every longing you feel, every glimpse of light, every taste of beauty point you homeward. The Lamb is waiting—and He is the glory that makes Heaven what your heart was made for. Don’t just look for the reward. Look for the Redeemer.
