Revelation 21:14 (ESV) – “And the wall of the city had twelve foundations, and on them were the twelve names of the twelve apostles of the Lamb.”
The walls of Heaven’s city aren’t only glorious—they’re grounded in memory. Each of the twelve foundations bears a name—the names of the apostles of the Lamb.
This is more than decoration. It is celebration. God honors the legacy of those who carried His message. What began with simple men—fishermen, tax collectors, doubters—now stands beneath the golden streets of eternity.
God doesn’t forget obedience. He builds with it. The names of the apostles are not etched in stone for their fame, but as testimonies of God’s grace and their faithfulness.
Heaven remembers what earth might overlook. And maybe—just maybe—there’s more space on Heaven’s foundation stones than we imagined.
Ephesians 2:20 – “…built on the foundation of the apostles and prophets, Christ Jesus himself being the cornerstone…”
Luke 22:30 – “…you may eat and drink at my table in my kingdom and sit on thrones judging the twelve tribes of Israel.”
Life Application:
You may never have your name on a monument—but Heaven remembers your faithfulness. God builds with your obedience. Walk boldly. Live faithfully. You’re laying down more than you know.
