Now to Him Who Is Able: Jude’s Closing Doxology of Hope
Jude closes his letter not with fear, but with worship. After exposing false teachers, urging believers to remain in the love of God, and calling us to rescue the perishing, these final verses lift our eyes from the battle to the throne. We are reminded that our security does not rest in our grip on God—but in His grip on us (Jude 24–25).
A Song After the Struggle
Welcome to the closing chapter of our journey through Jude. After strong warnings and sober exhortations, Jude ends with one of the most hope-filled doxologies in all of Scripture. He turns our focus away from deceivers, dangers, and doubts—and fixes our gaze on the glory of the One who keeps us.
Jude 24–25 (ESV)
“Now to him who is able to keep you from stumbling and to present you blameless before the presence of his glory with great joy, to the only God, our Savior, through Jesus Christ our Lord, be glory, majesty, dominion, and authority, before all time and now and forever. Amen.”
🛡️ He Is Able to Keep You (v. 24)
“Now to him who is able to keep you from stumbling…”
After a letter filled with warnings about false teachers and spiritual danger, Jude reminds believers where true security lies. It is not found in human strength, theological sharpness, or spiritual stamina—but in God Himself. He is able.
This same word is used in Romans 16:25, where Paul praises “him who is able to strengthen you.” God does not merely help us recover after we fall—He is powerful enough to keep us from falling.
Assurance
You are not kept by your willpower—you are kept by His grace. When everything else shakes, He remains steady.
🎉 He Will Present You Blameless (v. 24)
“…and to present you blameless before the presence of his glory with great joy.”
The word blameless means spotless, without fault. That may not describe our present experience—but it is our promised future. Jesus will not merely forgive us; He will present us.
And He will do so with great joy.
This moment will not be marked by shame or regret, but by rejoicing. Christ delights in the work He has completed in His redeemed people.
Gospel Hope
Jesus does not merely save you—He rejoices over you. Grace ends in joy.
👑 A Priest Who Presents His People
This language echoes the Old Testament picture of a priest presenting a spotless sacrifice before God. Jude draws on that imagery to show us Christ as our great High Priest.
Jesus will present His church as His blood-bought, Spirit-kept, radiant bride—complete and accepted in Him.
🌟 All Glory to the Only God (v. 25)
“To the only God, our Savior, through Jesus Christ our Lord…”
Jude anchors our worship in the singular supremacy of God. He is not one among many—He alone is God, and He has revealed Himself fully through Jesus Christ.
To Him belong:
- Glory — the radiant display of who He is
- Majesty — His unrivaled excellence and beauty
- Dominion — His rightful rule over all things
- Authority — His sovereign power to command and uphold
This is true before time began, true right now, and true forever. Amen.
🗝️ Key Truth
The letter of Jude begins and ends with the same assurance.
Jude 1 speaks of believers as “called, beloved, and kept.”
Jude 24 praises the God who is “able to keep.”
Our Song of Security
He called us. He keeps us. He will carry us home with joy.

🙏 A Prayer of Praise
Lord, we praise You as the One who is able. Thank You for keeping us, cleansing us, and calling us to joy. May our lives reflect Your glory, majesty, dominion, and authority—now and forever. Keep us faithful. Keep us humble. Keep us joyful. In Jesus’ name, Amen.
