This passage shows why the gospel is trustworthy, why Christian faith is grounded in truth, and why real joy is never found in isolation. John writes so that we may share in fellowship with the apostles, and ultimately with the Father and His Son, Jesus Christ. As we begin this group Bible study, we’ll learn how truth produces fellowship—and fellowship produces full joy.
