Questions about the holy spirit

Who is the Holy Spirit?+

The Holy Spirit is the third Person of the Trinity — fully God, fully personal, sent by the Father and the Son to dwell in every believer (John 14:16-17; Acts 2).

How do I know the Spirit lives in me?+

Every true believer in Christ is indwelt by the Holy Spirit (Romans 8:9). His presence produces growing love, joy, peace, patience, kindness, goodness, faithfulness, gentleness, and self-control (Galatians 5:22-23).

What are the gifts of the Spirit for?+

The Spirit gives gifts to build up the church — 'for the common good' (1 Corinthians 12:7) — never for show, division, or self-promotion.
